Night sky with lightning and stars
This is a simple animation that uses one of my favourite subjects…the night sky.
I love crescent moons so I used Adobe After Effects to create the moon. This uses the ellipse tool and the merge paths tool with a second circle located underneath it's orginal.
I added some stars using the star tool (under the shapes layer) and created the lightning using the vertical lightning effect. GFX Kapture has a great 4-minute tutorial on how to create the lightning here! I also added some sound effects by InspectorJ from Freesound. There’s heaps more I could do here, so hopefully rain a more obviously animated gradient background and some rain soon will be added to this experimental piece.
