As an exploration of shapes in motion graphics, I created a simple sunburst background animation adapted from an Eran Stern tutorial on LinkedIn. This is created using dashes from a circle and can also make some really psychedelic geometric effects that lead the eye. This is a simple adaption of an Adobe After Effects tutorial “Draw complex shapes” by Ian Robinson. I've used the pen tool to create the petal shape, merged the petals then excluded the smaller layer inside. Inspired by Robinson’s tutorial, I added 5 shapes and animated the motion using the repeater.
